Terms of service
What this service is
The Public Jobs is a job search and discovery service operated by The Public Jobs LTD(“we”, “us”). We gather vacancy listings from sources that permit it and present them so you can find relevant work.
We are not an employer, and we are not a recruitment agency. We do not receive, forward or assess job applications. When you select apply on a third-party listing, you leave this site and apply on the original employer or job board’s own website, under their terms.
Accuracy of listings
Listings are supplied by the employers and sources that published them. We normalise and categorise them, but we do not verify their contents. A vacancy may be filled, withdrawn or changed without the source telling us, and details such as pay or hours may be incomplete or out of date.
We do not claim to list every job in any country, and we do not guarantee that any listing is current, accurate, or a genuine vacancy. If something on this site looks wrong or fraudulent, please report it — reports are reviewed.
Your account
- You must be 16 or over to create an account.
- Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
- One account per person. Do not create accounts automatically or in bulk.
- You can delete your account at any time from your account settings.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- scrape, crawl or bulk-extract listings from this site, or reuse them in a competing product
- attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication or access controls
- submit false reports, spam or misleading content
- use the site to contact candidates or employers for unrelated purposes
Listings on this site are supplied under licence from their sources. Being able to read a listing here does not give you the right to republish it.
Emails
We send job alerts and marketing emails only where you have given permission for that specific purpose. Every such email has an unsubscribe link, and you can change your permissions in your account at any time. Service emails — password resets, security notices — are sent regardless, because they are part of running your account.
Availability and liability
We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on a listing, from a vacancy being unavailable, or from any dealings you have with an employer or job board you reached through this site. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Removal requests
If you are an employer, source or rights holder and want a listing removed, use the removal request form or contact [legal email address]. We act on legitimate requests promptly.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to registered users. These terms are governed by the law of [England and Wales / Scotland / Northern Ireland], and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
